Senior Manager, Engineering and Asset Care
This role is responsible for leading the plant Asset Care team composed of Facilities, Planned Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, and Automation/Controls. This role is also responsible for driving plant-wide maintenance activities required to maintain site assets and sustain overall plant operations and infrastructure. This includes developing a structured maintenance program that ensures assets are available as needed with a high level of uptime, maintenance costs are reasonable, and site assets are performing safely and reliably.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for site-wide planned maintenance strategy and execution. Proactively manage all elements of preventative maintenance spend (including spare parts, labor, and services) to budgeted objectives. Ensure no overspending without proper approvals.
- Build a high performing technical team that helps meet or exceed operational objectives (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost).
- Ensure that equipment is running efficiently and effectively by confirming Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) are completed thoroughly and on time.
- Provide leadership over Tool Crib operations, ensuring targeted inventory levels for spare parts are well maintained. Plan for timely requisition and acquisition of needed spare parts, with diligence to keep inventory levels to a minimum.
- Actively drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and performance and help achieve plant objectives for change to win (C2W) savings.
- Monitor and control site Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), failure trends and maintenance costs to identify priorities, possible asset modification or decommissioning required.
- Achieve a high level of PM compliance as per targeted objectives.
- Effectively partner with Manufacturing Unit technical teams to address manufacturing process issues and target the elimination of repetitive breakdowns.
- Take leadership role in motivating organizational change for the engineering and maintenance department related to people, structure, technology enhancement, regulatory and company initiatives on productivity.
- Effectively communicate to management any critical actions needed to restore and maintain the basic conditions of the equipment to 100% reliability.
- Ensures harmonization of processes, promotes, and enforces technical standards maintaining up-to-date knowledge and awareness of improvement methodologies and new techniques in maintenance.
- Benchmark engineering and maintenance standard methodologies against other company sites and external references.
- Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS Degree –Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field
- Masters in Engineering or MBA preferred
- Minimum 5-7 years engineering in high speed automation manufacturing
- Minimum 3-5 years supervisor experience
- Experience managing Projects, Facilities, Planned Equipment Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, and Automation/Controls Engineers
- Medical device industry background preferred
